Reverend Wisdom Akinpelu, a UK-based Nigerian cleric, has announced plans to release two Christian drama series in Nigeria by October 2024. The series, titled Eda Aye (The Mankind) and The Strange Encounters, aim to emphasize the importance of purposeful living and a Christ-centered life.

The 13-episode series will address themes such as sexual immorality, ethics, guilt, reconciliation, and redemption, while incorporating African cultural elements and offering Bible-based solutions to complex human issues.

Eda Aye (The Mankind) depicts the lives of five individuals facing significant challenges in their quest for success and peace. Their search for solutions leads them to uncover hidden secrets that provide much-needed relief.

The Strange Encounters centers on counseling sessions where characters wrestle with their choices, dealing with themes of temptation, guilt, and redemption. One key issue addressed is the negative impact of pornography on youth and adults, aiming to highlight its destructive effects and encourage viewers to seek a way out of addiction.

Akinpelu, a graduate of the University of Cumbria and currently studying law at BPP University Law School, stated that the series will impact Nigerian audiences by blending entertainment with spiritual guidance. He emphasized the importance of maintaining African cultural values and using drama to address and resolve societal issues.
