In Abuja, as 10 #EndBadGovernance protesters were granted bail by a Federal High Court, lawyer Mr. Deji Adeyanju raised concerns about Dr. Abubakar Alkali, a Senior Lecturer at Baze University, who has reportedly been detained by the Department of State Security (DSS) for the past three weeks. Adeyanju claimed that Dr. Alkali was taken into custody for allegedly supporting the protest and is currently being held in Sokoto State.
Adeyanju also mentioned that 115 protesters in Kuje prison are still awaiting bail, while over 1,000 protesters nationwide are expected to be granted bail. He criticized the detention of peaceful protesters, calling for their unconditional release.
