The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has launched a state-of-the-art Data Analytics and Software Development training program aimed at equipping young engineers with crucial digital skills.

The event was officially inaugurated by NSE President, Margaret Aina Oguntala, who highlighted the significance of the initiative and reaffirmed the society’s dedication to promoting technological progress and innovation within Nigeria’s engineering sector.

Oguntala stated, “Under my leadership, the NSE will continue to lead research efforts, support startups, and advocate for engineering solutions tailored to the unique challenges of our nation.”

She further emphasized that the society’s goal is to establish Nigeria as a center of engineering excellence. Embracing innovation is crucial for ensuring that engineers remain competitive in today’s increasingly digital world.

The training program received a substantial response, with 279 participants selected from over 400 applicants.

Over the course of several weeks, participants will acquire practical skills in data analytics and software development, which will aid them in tackling real-world engineering problems.

Oguntala noted that this initiative reflects NSE’s commitment to bridging the gap between traditional engineering education and the needs of the evolving tech-driven market, positioning Nigerian engineers to lead in global innovation.
