Former Chelsea winger Victor Moses has made his return to English football, joining Championship side Luton Town on a free transfer after departing Russian club Spartak Moscow earlier this summer.

At 33, Moses brings a wealth of experience to Luton, having previously enjoyed a successful spell at Chelsea under Antonio Conte, which included winning the Premier League. He initially moved to Spartak Moscow on loan in 2020 before making the transfer permanent.

Luton Town manager Rob Edwards expressed enthusiasm about Moses’ signing, stating, “We think he’s someone who can provide some really good competition for us.”

Moses recently participated in a behind-closed-doors match to familiarize himself with his new team. The addition of Moses is timely for Luton, who have struggled this season with only one point from their first four Championship games.

Moses shared his excitement about the move, saying, “I had a few offers from Europe, but I set my mind on staying over here. I’m very pleased and honoured to be at this club and I just can’t wait to get going. I want to come here and enjoy my football, work hard for the club and for the team, and get back to where we belong in the Premier League.”

Luton’s next match is away to Millwall this weekend, where Moses may make his debut for the club.
