FORMER APC SPOKESMAN SLAMS BODE GEORGE OVER ATIKU’S 2027 PROSPECTS

Comrade Timi Frank, the former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has sharply criticized Chief Olabode George, the former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for his recent remarks about former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s chances in the 2027 presidential election.

George had asserted that Atiku would not become Nigeria’s president in 2027, a claim that Frank dismissed as presumptuous and misguided. In a statement released in Abuja on Thursday, August 29, Frank accused George of overstepping his bounds by attempting to predict the nation’s political future. He remarked that George should “continue to wallow in self-delusion and ego trip,” emphasizing that George has no authority to determine the country’s leadership in 2027.

Frank also took the opportunity to criticize George for his past judicial issues, highlighting his 2009 conviction by the Lagos High Court on 23 counts of abuse of office and contract splitting, though George was later acquitted by the Supreme Court in 2013. Frank suggested that these past issues disqualify George from making authoritative statements on national matters.

Additionally, Frank pointed out George’s previous declarations against President Bola Tinubu, noting the contradiction in his predictions. He reminded the public that George had sworn Tinubu would not win the 2023 presidential election and even vowed to renounce his Nigerian citizenship if Tinubu became President.

Frank concluded by stating that the fate of Nigeria’s presidency in 2027 is in the hands of God and the Nigerian people, not George. “If God says Atiku will be President in 2027, a thousand Olabode Georges living on Supreme Court’s magnanimity cannot annul it,” he stated, urging George to stop attacking Atiku and focus on his own political miscalculations.
