About the EMY Africa Awards
The EMY Africa Awards, now in its ninth year, celebrates men and women who have demonstrated exceptional values and made significant contributions to society. Past honorees include prominent figures such as Akinwumi Adesina, Tony Elumelu, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), and Don Jazzy. The awards recognize achievements across various sectors and aim to elevate and spotlight inspiring individuals.
Highlights of Previous Events
- 2023 EMY Africa Soiree: Held in partnership with Mercedes-Benz Nigeria, the event was a success, bringing together past winners from Nigeria and Ghana, along with top business and entertainment leaders.
- Awards Issue Release Party: In April, EMY Africa celebrated the 2023 honorees and launched the EMY Africa Magazine’s Awards Issue.
- Visit by Stevie Wonder: In May, EMY Africa hosted Stevie Wonder in Ghana, marking a significant moment in connecting Africa with its diaspora.
- EMY Africa Expo: In June, the inaugural Expo attracted over 6,000 participants and showcased more than 80 vendors, featuring events like the Inspiring Greatness Forum and Live in the Park Concert.
- Africa Rising Symposium: In July, EMY Africa hosted this symposium in London, focusing on celebrating African excellence and exploring future growth opportunities.
