Popular Nigerian social media personality Verydarkman (VDM) has made a public plea for Davido to release Dammy Krane from prison, alleging that the singer is being held by Davido.
VDM made this claim on August 28, 2024, through an Instagram post that has quickly gained attention. In his post, VDM recounted a recent visit to a police station where he claims to have seen Dammy Krane in custody. According to VDM, he was at the station to thank officers for their assistance when he encountered a person in a cell who he identified as Krane.
VDM described how he was told by Krane that Davido was responsible for his arrest. He explained that Krane accused Davido of putting him in jail, which he found surprising given their contentious history.
Despite their past conflicts, VDM urged Davido to reconsider and release Krane. He appealed to Davido’s character, stating, “David Adeleke, Davido, you be my brother, you be my guy and one thing I know about you is that you’re a jolly good fellow and you’re not an oppressor.”
VDM emphasized that while he had previously had issues with Krane, he felt it was important to advocate for Krane’s release, calling on Davido to use his influence to free him. He ended his plea by urging Davido to show mercy and give Krane a second chance, despite the difficulties between them.
Krane’s arrest follows his recent accusations that Davido was attempting to frame him with false allegations. He claimed that his arrest was an attempt by Davido to suppress his quest for justice and protect his own interests.
