NECO REGISTRAR ELECTED INTO COUNCIL OF EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT IN AFRICA

Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), has been elected to the Executive Council of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA). His election as the West Africa Representative took place during the 40th AEAA Conference held in Cape Town, South Africa.

The announcement was made in a statement by Azeez Sani, the Acting Director of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations at NECO. Wushishi will serve on the eight-member Executive Council alongside representatives from other examination bodies across Africa.

The AEAA, established in 1982, aims to promote cooperation among examining and assessment bodies across the continent, focusing on the harmonization of educational assessments in Africa. This year’s conference, held from August 19 to 23, centered around the theme “Reimagining Education Assessment in the Age of Multiple Dimensions of Learning in a Global Society,” and was attended by over 21 active primary members, along with various public and private institutions and organizations from around the world.
