LAGOS GOVT ANNOUNCES 2-DAY TRAFFIC DIVERSION ON BOURDILLON ROAD

The Lagos State Government has announced a two-day traffic diversion on Bourdillon Road in Ikoyi for construction work. The diversion will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on August 24, and between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on August 25.

Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, explained that an alternative route has been designated for motorists affected by the diversion. Those heading towards Falomo Roundabout from Bourdillon Road are advised to turn right at Lateef Jakande Road, proceed to Onisiwo inwards Oniru Road, and then link Thompson Avenue Roundabout. From there, they can rejoin Bourdillon Road to continue their journey.

Osiyemi clarified that motorists on the lane inbound Alexander Avenue from Falomo Roundabout will not be affected by the diversion. He assured that the state’s traffic management personnel would oversee the diversion, and urged motorists to cooperate with the measures in place.
