OPERATION DETAILS

  • Date of Strike: August 16, 2024
  • Targets: Five prominent terrorist leaders and more than 35 militants

The airstrikes followed intelligence reports about the clandestine movement of terrorists into the region. The strikes not only killed key terrorist leaders but also destroyed equipment, vehicles, water vessels, and a suspected medical dispensary. The operation has significantly weakened the remaining terrorist forces in the Northeast.

NAF COMMITMENT

The NAF continues to support the broader efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other security agencies to maintain peace and security in the region, aiming to curb terrorist activities and protect civilians.
