President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). This decision follows the upcoming retirement of two existing Permanent Secretaries and the establishment of a new Youth Development Secretariat.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are:

  • Joy Okeke from the South East
  • Rotimi Ajayi from the South West
  • Nancy Nathan from the North East

Additionally, Abdullahi Ango has been appointed as the Mandate Secretary for the Youth Development Secretariat. The position of Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration will now be formalized as Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretariat.

The appointees will be inaugurated on Thursday. This move follows Tinubu’s earlier appointment of 10 pioneer Permanent Secretaries for the FCTA on March 12, in accordance with the FCT Civil Service Commission Law, 2018.
