SDP Demands Removal of Kogi Police Commissioner Over Security Concerns

< 1 mn read

The Social Democratic Party (SDP), represented by the Murtala Ajaka Campaign Team, has called for the dismissal of Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Bertran Unuoha. The party highlights escalating security issues in the state, attributing these problems to Unuoha’s alleged focus on political rather than public safety concerns.

The SDP also questions how Unuoha knew about the Supreme Court’s judgment date ahead of its official announcement, suggesting possible political manipulation. They are urging President Bola Tinubu and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun to take immediate action to remove Unuoha. Additionally, there are claims that former Governor Yahaya Bello is residing in the State Government House, reportedly accommodated by the current governor.
