Kano Assembly Confirms Ex-General as Commissioner

The Kano State House of Assembly has officially confirmed retired Major-General Muhammad Inuwa as a Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council. The confirmation followed a screening process conducted by the Assembly, which was chaired by Speaker Jibrin Falgore.

Major-General Inuwa’s nomination was supported by both the majority and minority leaders of the Assembly. The confirmation was approved unanimously, and the decision has been forwarded to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s office.

Speaker Falgore praised Inuwa for his extensive experience in internal and external security matters and urged him to focus on enhancing the prosperity, peace, and stability of Kano State. He emphasized the importance of security in maintaining the state’s current peace and development, reflecting the Assembly’s confidence in Inuwa’s ability to contribute positively to the state’s governance.
