Ghanaian actor Majid Michel recently delivered a thought-provoking sermon that has sparked considerable discussion. During his church service, Michel made a provocative claim that Jesus Christ never personally healed the sick or raised the dead, despite these acts being widely attributed to Him in biblical teachings.

Michel explained his viewpoint to the congregation, saying, “Do you know Jesus never healed the sick nor raised the dead? Jesus never let the blind see.” He elaborated that Jesus’ actions were not his own but were carried out according to the will of God the Father. “Do you know what Jesus said? ‘I do nothing by myself. As I see the Father do, I do. In other words, I am Jesus, I have a will, but I will not use my will; only the will of my Father I came to do,'” he said.

Referring to the biblical story of Jesus’ temptation by Satan, Michel added, “If the devil had gotten Jesus to turn that stone to bread without asking his Father’s permission, he had gotten him to sin and that is what you call sin—separation from God, independence from God.” He concluded the sermon by stating, “When you throw your own plans and make your own decisions without consulting the Father, you have sinned.”

Majid Michel, who has been vocal about his Christian faith and spiritual journey, has also expressed his critical views on religion. He has suggested that various religions, including Christianity and Islam, have historically contributed to violence and inhumane acts. As a result, he encourages people to distance themselves from rigid religious practices.

The actor’s unconventional opinions and bold statements continue to spark debate and reflection among his followers and the broader public.
