Simi recently shared how her views on motherhood have evolved since becoming a mom to her daughter. Speaking on The Roadshow on Cool FM, she reflected on her earlier belief that she would rely heavily on multiple nannies for childcare.

“When asked what she once said, ‘It will never be me’ but now resonates with her, Simi admitted, ‘Before having my daughter, I imagined having five nannies, with each nanny having their own nanny. But that’s not how it turned out.'”

Contrary to her initial plans, Simi emphasized that she prefers being hands-on with her daughter Adejare, especially when they are in the United States, where she manages without nannies. She acknowledged, however, that her busy schedule in Nigeria requires occasional help.

“I’m super hands-on. In the States, I don’t use nannies, but here I have someone to assist when I’m working because I’m busier here,” she explained. Reflecting on her past expectations with a touch of humor, Simi remarked, “I was so sure back then, thinking, ‘I’ll have two nannies, and their nannies will have nannies.’ That really isn’t me.”

Switching topics, when asked about new hobbies outside of music in recent years, Simi revealed, “I’m exploring writing a novel. If I weren’t a musician, I’d probably be a novelist, delving into romance, fantasy, and suspense. I’m also interested in creating content for children; it’s an area I’d like to explore.”

Simi’s journey into motherhood has reshaped her perspectives and aspirations, highlighting her hands-on approach and new creative ventures beyond music.
