His impact on Nigerian cinema earned him recognition with the National Honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) in 2005, presented by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Beyond his cinematic achievements, Ejiro is celebrated for creating the enduring drama series “Ripples,” which aired on NTA during the 1990s and is currently back on DSTV.
