FULL LIST: 98 lawyers shortlisted for SAN conferment

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has shortlisted 98 lawyers for the 2024 conferment of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) title. This list includes 87 advocate applicants and 11 academic applicants. The announcement was made by Hajo Bello, the chief registrar of the Supreme Court and secretary of the LPPC, on Monday, July 1.

Bello clarified that the publication of the list does not guarantee that the applicants will receive the SAN title. The general public is invited to comment on the integrity, reputation, and competence of the listed applicants. Complaints about any applicant must be accompanied by a verifying affidavit, deposed before a superior court of record in Nigeria or a notary public, and submitted in twenty copies.
