This surpasses the previous record held by Wizkid’s ‘Diamond,’ which had 518,000 streams on its opening day.
Additionally, ‘Higher’ also set a new record for the most opening day streams for a solo song by an African artist, surpassing Burna Boy’s own previous record set by his 2023 Grammy-nominated single ‘City Boy.’
