50-YEAR-OLD MAN CRUSHED TO DEATH BY MOVING TRAIN IN LAGOS

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 50-year-old man, identified as Emmanuel, who was crushed by a moving train on Tuesday. The incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. at the ARENA Shopping Complex area in Oshodi.

The police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, provided details on Sunday, revealing that the tragic event was reported by the deceased’s younger sister. She informed the Mosafejo Police Division at approximately 1:33 p.m. after receiving a phone call about the accident.

According to Hundeyin, Emmanuel was allegedly walking along the train tracks when the moving train struck him. Following the report, a team of detectives visited and photographed the scene. The victim’s body was subsequently taken to a public morgue for an autopsy.

The case has been transferred to the Railway Police Command in Ebute-Metta for further investigation.
